This post is about the importance of words. There are many people who think that they can say anything and that it doesn't matter how much they deceive, lie, trick, scam others. But it matters. I looked up the truth from the Holy Bible and these are only some of the scriptures about words. And yes, of course, this pertains to the prolife cause and to the battle by Christians against the attempts by evil groups to turn the U S away from GOD. In the prolife battle, the main instrument the wicked killers of the preborn use, is lies, lies and more lies to fool foolish women who don't know the scriptures.
If you read each one of these, you will be transformed about your duty to control your words to not speak evil.
It is written, " Neither have I gone back from the commandment of His lips; I have esteemed the words of His [GOD's] mouth more than my necessary food." Job 23:12
"All the while my breath is in me, and The Spirit of GOD is in my nostrils, my lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit." Job 27:18
"Blessed is the man who walketh not in the counsel [advice, legal advice] of the ungodly, nor standeth in the seat of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of THE LORD; and in His law, doth he meditate day and night." Psalms 1:1-2
"The words of THE LORD are pure words, as silver tried in a furnace purified seven times. " Psalm 12: 6
"How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth. "Psalms 119:103
"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. " Psalms 119:105
"A wise man will hear and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels; to understand a proverb and the interpretation; the words of the wise and their dark sayings. The fear of THE LORD is the beginning of knowledge; but fools despise wisdom and instruction. " Proverbs 1: 5-7
"The words of the wicked are to lie in wait for blood; but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them. The wicked are overthrown and are not; but the house of the righteous shall stand. " Proverbs 12: 6-7
"The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to THE LORD; but the words of the pure are pleasant words.". Proverbs 15: 26
"Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. " Proverbs 16: 24
"That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth, that thou mightiest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee." Proverbs 22:23
"The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies which are given from one shepherd. And further , by these..be admonished; of making many books there is no end; and of much study is a weariness of the flesh. Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: fear GOD, and keep HIS commandments [words] ; for this is the whole duty of man. "The instruments also of the churl [defined as " a low-bred countryman; a surly person, a miser] are evil; he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right. " Isaiah 32: 7
"Then THE LORD put forth HIS hand and touched my mouth, and THE LORD said unto me, "behold, I have put My words in thy mouth." Jeremiah 1:9
"Then THE LORD said unto me, " proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying, 'hear ye the words of this covenant, and do them'. " Jeremiah 11: 6
"The word which came to Jeremiah from THE LORD, saying, 'arise, and go down to the potter's house and there I will cause thee to hear My words. " Jeremiah 18:1-2
"And thou shalt say unto them, 'Thus saith THE LORD: if ye will not hearken to Me, to walk in My law, which I have set before you, to hearken to the words of My servants the prophets whom I sent unto you, both rising up early and sending them, but ye have not hearkened, then will I make this house like Shi-loh, and will make this city a curse to all the nations of the earth. " Jeremiah 26: 4-6
JESUS said, "For by thy words thou shalt be justified and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. ". Matthew 12:37
JESUS said, "heaven and earth shall pass away but My words shall not pass away." Mark 13:31
